Wood framing is the core of this company. From layout to the last piece of casing, the carpenters on your job work for NRG, and the scope they build is the scope we put in writing.
Walls, floor systems, and roof framing for ground-up homes, additions, ADUs, and multi-unit work: layout, plumb and line, shear nailing, and hardware installed per the structural sheets.
Beam and header swaps, LVL and glulam installs, shear walls and holdowns, sistered joists and rafters, and bearing-wall removals with proper temporary shoring, built to the engineer's detail.
Doors, casing and base, stair and railing work, and exterior trim, hung, scribed, and mitered by the same company that framed the walls behind it.
Re-framing fire- and water-damaged structure alongside restoration contractors and insurance scopes: selective removal of compromised members, sisters and repairs, matching existing lines.
We're a wood-framing contractor. Structural steel (moment frames, steel columns and beams) is by others; we coordinate the connections and list it in the exclusions so nobody discovers it mid-job.
If your project is the structure (a remodel with engineered plans, an addition, an ADU shell, a re-frame after fire or water damage), you can contract NRG for the framing scope without hiring a full GC. And if the project grows, our general contracting side is the same company.
Framing is where a remodel gets real: walls open, structure exposed, decisions compounding. A framing contractor who prices from the plans, and tells you in writing what's not in the number, keeps those decisions from turning into surprises.

Yes. Framing packages for other GCs are a core part of the business, under our own CSLB General Building license B #1059515. You get a plan-based bid with a written scope letter, a COI on request, and crews that are NRG employees, not a broker's labor. We're prevailing-wage and certified-payroll capable on public work.
From a measured takeoff of the actual plans (wall lengths, sheathing areas, header and beam counts, hardware schedules), priced line by line. A square-foot guess with a fat contingency isn't a bid, it's a placeholder; ours are numbers you can check against the drawings.
Whatever the scope letter says. That's the point of writing one. The consistent exclusion worth knowing up front: we're a wood-framing contractor, so structural steel (moment frames, steel columns and beams) is by others. LVLs, glulams, sisters, and wood structural work stay in our scope. Every proposal lists its exclusions explicitly so nothing surfaces as a surprise change order.
Both. Some GCs and developers buy their own lumber package and want a labor-only number; others want turnkey labor and materials with NRG carrying the package. The scope letter states which basis the bid is on, so there's no ambiguity about who's buying what.
